Here at Absolute zero host, we believe in sharing knowledge. Our ultimate goal is to provide the best hosting service around, and build an amazing customer base that enjoys our services.
What we do: AZH was built around the idea that Eve online corporations will not always have a full time person to address or manage information technology services that they need to maintain a pilot group. Years ago, I was one of those people that was thrust into that role within “Asteroid Farm Unlimited”. I built my first ESI service instance, and provided access to my corporation mates so we could make better hiring decisions with new inbound members. SeAT version 1.0 was not easy to install, some of the instructions expected a level of understanding of Laravel and other web based tools. I learned SQL, and a few other things that I had never experienced before. This company was started so that this information could be shared, and assistance could be provided to others. We support the responsible use of ESI to support and simplify connecting the real world to the eve online universe.
How we do it: AZH has a few models for providing support that can address most needs.
–Fully managed services – We do it all, from building the virtual machine on one of our datacenter machines to installing whatever ESI application you are wanting to use. We help you configure and connect other applications like Discord and or Slack to an existing website or we can even offer you a service url from within our service domain. We maintain the server, with its updates and the applications installed. All you need to do is open a ticket and ask for help with what you are wanting installed. Normally applications have plugins or add-ons that can be used.
– Semi managed services – This is a hybrid approach where you may have experience and want to be more hands on with your machine. In instances like this, we would provide the virtual machine and login details to your team. We would still maintain server operating system updates and application updates like the rest of our customers, but you would be have access to login and do whatever work needed without us doing it for you. Of course as always, we will be only a ticket away if you need us.
– Self managed – Like the name implies, we provide you the details and you handle all of the responsibilities of maintaining your instance. This level is normally for users that like to have full control, and have a solid grasp of server administration. As above in all of the other instances, if you do end up needing assistance you can open a support ticket and we will do our best to provide support as well.
– Self hosted – This one is near and dear to our hearts, if you have a server with another provider or you host your server at home, that is ok with us. If you have questions about how ESI works or you need assistance in most cases we can point you to the right people or simply answer the question. Just because you are with another host, doesn’t mean we can’t be professionals and help out. If we do end up helping you out, please make sure to post on the eve online forum post letting people know how we helped out.
